Reiki Energy Healing
What is reiki?
Reiki is holistic healing technique, originating in Japan, that involves the channeling of universal life force energy to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The word “Reiki” is made of two Japanese words, “Rei” meaning “God’s wisdom or the Higher Power” and “Ki” referring to the life force energy that flows through all living beings. If one’s life force energy is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Trained practitioners serve as a conduit for this healing energy, which is believed to be guided by a higher power. The practitioner uses their hands to either gently touch or hover about the specific areas of the recipient’s body, allowing the energy to flow where it is needed most. Reiki is taught through a system of attunements conducted by Reiki Master’s to impart the ability to channel Reiki energy to new practitioners.
Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of healing that aims to restore balance and harmony within the recipient’s energy systems, supporting the body’s natural healing process.
It is often used to alleviate stress, promote relaxation, relive pain, enhance over all well-being, and facilitate spiritual growth. Reiki is often considered a complementary healing modality, intended to work in conjunction with other traditional medical treatments.
